Former Oklahoma and Purdue wrestler Gerritt Nijenhuis has announced via Twitter that he will be using his final year of collegiate eligibility at Cal State Bakersfield under head coach Luke Smith and assistant Anthony Valencia.
Pretty rough go around for CSUB last season going 0-12 in dual meets and finishing their season with a 6th place finish at the Pac-12 Championships.
Nijenhuis had an ok season last year going 9-7 with a career record of 52-17. It will be interesting to see how he does in his final year.
