Isaac Trumble Into U23 Finals, Day 2 Session 1/2 Recap Of U23 World Championship

Session 1 and 2 of day 2 of the U23 world championships are in the book and Team USA has one more in the finals.

Isaac Trumble (97kg) was able to dominate in his 3 matches so far winning the first 14-3, and winning by tech in the next two. He will face Radu Lefter of Moldova in the finals tomorrow.

Cooper Flynn (57kg) lost to Armenia in his second match, he ended up making the finals so Flynn has been pulled back into repechage. He will face Niklas Stechele of Germany and if he wins he will be in the bronze medal bout.

Brock Hardy (65kg) lost a tough one in his third match to Bayramov of Azerbaijan, he has made the finals pulling Hardy into repechage where he will face Pavel Graur of Moldova and the winner will get to wrestle for bronze.

Doug Zapf (70kg) lost a rough one in the semifinals to Inalbek Sheriev (AIN), he will be in the bronze medal match tomorrow where he will need to await the winner of a couple matches.

Dustin Plott (79kg) lost his first match to Sato of Japan 2-2, Sato would fall in the following round eliminating Plott from the world championships.
