Hitomi Obara

PC: Tony Rotundo

Hitomi Obara is a 9x world and Olympic champion women’s wrestler for Japan. She won Olympic gold in 2012 where she defeated Mariya Stadnik of Azarbaijan in the finals.

The only reason that Obara did not have 2 more gold medals from the Olympics games is because her weight class was not included until 2012.

She competed alongside Saori Yoshida and Kaori Icho making one of the most dominant teams of all time.
