Pennsylvania state champion Branden Wentzel has announced that he will be heading to state college to join the Nittany Lions.
The class of 2023 wrestler has been one of the best wrestlers in the state of Pennsylvania his entire career. Winning a state title as a freshman in 2020, placing 3rd as a sophomore last season and runner up as a junior this season Wentzel looks to get back on top of the podium next year in his senior campaign.
Wentzel currently holds a 76-11 career record and will most likely be a 125 pounder once he gets to Penn State being that he competed down at 113 this last season.
The Penn State recruiting class for 2023 is absolutely stacked pulling Josh Barr, Tyler Kasak, Braeden Davis, and Cale Nasdeo as well. The Nittany Lions just look like they are getting stronger.
