News just out via the Gopher wrestling club twitter page that Dustin Schlatter will be stepping down as the head coach for the RTC after 17 years (time in the program).
Of course the Gopher wrestling club has been known for the their prowess at the 125kg weight class where they have had guys such as Tony Nelson, Gable Steveson, and Hayden Zillmer.
During his time as a wrestling Schlatter was a 3x All American and was able to win a national title as well at 149 pounds. Schlatter competed internationally at 74kg and was able to make the world team in 2009 to compete at the world championships in Herning, Denmark.
In addition to this Schlatter was a Pan American Champion in 2015..
The Gopher wrestling club will have Aaron Nagao and Michial Foy competing at the U23 world championships in Montevedra, Spain. This will be taking place in October.
