Garrett Ricks has recently announced his commitment to the University of Wyoming. Ricks wrote, “I’m excited to announce my commitment to the University of Wyoming. I’m grateful for all the coaches who have helped me get to this point in my wrestling career(it’s safe to say I’ve come a long ways, peep the last pic). Beyond excited for this new era!! GO POKES.”
During his 2021-22 season, Ricks had a record of 26 wins and 4 loses. Ricks most notable accomplishments consist of winning this year’s nationals.
When asked what was the deciding factor in his commitment to the University of Wyoming, Ricks replied, “I just felt like Wyoming was the best place for me to accomplish all my goals in and out of wrestling. I’m looking forward to compete with the top guys in D1 full time, in JUCO I got to wrestle some of those guys at tournaments, but it wasn’t super often so I’m excited to compete with the top guys full time”.
Garrett Ricks will be continuing his athletic and educational career at the University of Wyoming.
