Wyoming vs UNI will be going down January 5th at 7pm CST. The dual will be at UNI and you can stream it live on Flo Wrestling.
UNI comes in as a massive favorite to win the dual but there should be some fun matches should Wyoming come in looking good.
Projected Matches:
125 Pounds- Jore Volk (Wyoming) vs Kyle Golhoffer (UNI)
Should Volk wrestle he will be the favorite to win here which could give Wyoming a little boost heading into the next few bouts where UNI is very tough.
133 Pounds- Kyle Biscoglia (UNI) vs Aidan Noonan (Wyoming)
Biscoglia has looked very solid so far this season, he should have no problem getting the win here over Noonan and maybe a bonus.
141 Pounds- Cael Happel (UNI) vs Job Greenwood (Wyoming)
Happel has been looking very good so far this season for UNI, he has a 10-2 record thus far and with this matchup he should be able to extent that.
He should looking at the differential be able to snag a couple bonus points for UNI here.
149 Pounds- Colin Realbuto (UNI) vs Chase Zollmann (Wyoming)
Realbuto’s last two matches have been very impressive with his upset over Ohio State’s Sammy Sasso and a win over Jackson Arrington of NC State. Realbuto is currently ranked 15th in the country (Flowrestling).
Realbuto will probably be looking at a major based on his past results and looking at both of their criteria this season.
157 Pounds- Derek Holschlag (UNI) vs Bryce Dauphin (Wyoming)
Holschlag should have the edge here with little to no problem and should be able to pick up a decision victory.
165 Pounds- Austin Yant (UNI) vs Cole Moody (Wyoming)
Yant is another one of UNI’s higher ranked guys, but the last time these two wrestled it was Moody who got the win. However that was in 2020 and Yant looks to have jumped levels since then so I’ll go with a decision victory for him.
174 Pounds- Lance Runyon (UNI) vs Hayden Hastings (Wyoming)
This is the biggest match of the dual with two highly rated wrestlers going at it. These two met in March of last year and it was Runyon who was able to pull away with a 5-1 decision victory.
Should be another close match and I’ll give this win to Runyon again this go around.
184 Pounds- Parker Keckeisen (UNI) vs Quayin Short (Wyoming)
Keckeisen has been the top guy on this team and has looked great this season avenging his loss to NC State’s Trent Hidlay by pin at the Collegiate Duals.
He will most likely be looking for at minimum a major but most likely a tech fall or a pin here in this bout.
197 Pounds- Noah Glaser (UNI) vs Tyce Raddon (Wyoming)
Not much to go off of here in this bout with no common opponents between either of these guys, they both have .500 records on the season so this is one Wyoming could in theory try to grab.
Glaser would be my pick here simply looking at his matches this season.
285 Pounds- Tyrell Gordon (UNI) vs Terren Swartz (Wyoming)
Gordon is another guy on this UNI team who has looked to come into his own this season, picking up wins over AJ Nevills, and Tate Orndorff and putting together a 10-4 record so far with a very tough schedule.
Might be a little bold but I will take Gordon with the major here over Swartz but he is 12-7 on the season with some decent wins so it might be close here.
