The Mount Carmel high school student, Sergio Lemley has announced his commitment to the University of Michigan. These news come from Lemley’s Instagram with him writing, “The recruiting process has been fun building relationships that will last a lifetime, but I’m going to pursue my athletic and academic career at the University of Michigan. I would like to thank everybody from both Mount Carmel and Chesterton for their support and my family, God as well as coaches that helped guide me through the process”.
Sergio Lemley wrestles for Mount Carmel high school at the 126 pound weight class. He is currently a junior in high school and has already been crowned the state champion is the IHSA 3A state tournament three times. According to Lemley he will be wrestling at the 141 pound weight class at the University of Michigan.
Whens asked what was the deciding factor for his commitment to Michigan State Lemley replied, “I just believed in the message that coach Bormet preached and it matched all of the factors that I was looking for in a new home.
Lemely is currently a class of 2023 and has already committed to Michigan State. The junior still has one last year of high school before starting in the colligative level.
