It was just announced earlier today that Ivan Ivanov will be taking over the role of general manager for the greco roman programs.
USA Wrestling has said that Ivanov will lead every aspect of the greco roman programs and will also be able to create a new culture.
It is no secret that USA Wrestling has been lacking on the greco side of things and this could very well be what they need to start having the success that they are capable of.
Ivanov is a Bulgarian immigrant and he has coached many teams for the USA. When he was in Bulgaria Ivanov was a world silver medalist in 1994 and was a 5th place finisher in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
He was also named the 2009 Greco-Roman coach of the year. The future for Team USA Greco definitely looks up from here.
