Can Myles Amine Finally Cap Off A NCAA Title Run

Myles Amine is the second more accomplish wrestler that is competing in college now only behind Gable Steveson as he claimed a Bronze Medal at 86kg at the Tokyo Olympics, can he bring this success to the folkstyle scene?

Amine as of this point in his career is a 4x All American and will be looking to finally cap that off with a national title like a few others such as Jaydin Eierman of Iowa down at 141 pounds. His only losses really have been to the best in the country and the best in the world. In 2021 he lost to AJ Ferrari by a single point and he went on to win a national title, keep in mind Amine was wrestling up a weight so he could maintain mass for the Olympics in Tokyo. He has losses to Mark all also.

This year he will be dow at 184 pound which is a lot better suited for him in terms of weight. The main competitors at the weight class are Aaron Brooks of Penn State who is going for his second NCAA Title and his 3rd Big Ten Title. Trent Hidlay who will be looking for his first title after a runner up finish to Brooks last season, or Sophomore John Poznanski who I would not overlook just yet as he took 4th at the NCAA Tournament last season as a true freshman.

Do I think Amine can beat Brooks? Yes it is 100% possible, if Amine can translate his freestyle success he had on the biggest stage in the world to folkstyle I am very confident that he can get it done is his final year as a Michigan Wolverine and flow smoothly onto the senior level after that.
