All American Michael Blockhus To Forgo Final Season Of Eligibility To Transition To MMA

All American for Minnesota Michael Blockus announced via Instagram post this morning that he would not be taking his final year of eligibility.

Blockhus has had a great career competing for the Gophers as a 4x NCAA qualifier and finally being able to get onto the podium this year in his 3rd national tournament.

Some of Blockhus’ biggest wins this season include All Americans Dom Demas and Yahya Thomas. He was able to put together a big run to make the Big Ten finals this season as well where he took national finalist Sammy Sasso to overtime.

He announced today that he will be making the transition to MMA.
