Hamid Sourian is a 7x world and Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling for Iran. Sourian is widely regarded as the greatest lightweight Greco-Roman wrestler of all time nicknamed the “7 Star General”.
Sourian did not have the greatest run at the Olympic games not placing in 2008 or in 2016. He would end up winning the London Olympics in 2012 picking up the only Olympic gold of his career.
He won all the world championships from 2005-2010 then again picked up the final gold medal of his career at Tashkent in 2014.
