The brackets for the 2022 Midlands Wrestling Championships have dropped and there is a massive move at 133 pounds. Returning national finalist Patrick Glory of Princeton is at 133 pounds.

There was talk of this happening earlier in the season due to a rough weight cut. Should Glory actually wrestle at 133 tomorrow this becomes interesting. He is currently seeded 3rd behind Lucas Byrd of Illinois and Michael McGee of Arizona State.

This weight class contains a plethora of other talented wrestlers including Joe Heilmann (Rutgers), Michael Colaiocco (Penn), Taylor LaMont (Wisconsin), and Chris Cannon (Northwestern).

In Glory’s hypothetical road to a Midlands Championships he will see Penn’s Michael Colaiocco in the quarterfinals, Arizona State’s Michael McGee in the semifinals, and Illinois’ Lucas Byrd in the finals.

A lot of other fun matches to watch at the Midlands Championships. You can check out the full preview by @caelturnbull here
