Drew Heethuis has announced his commitment towards Princeton University. During an Instagram post Heethuis stated, “I’m extremely excited to announce that I have committed to the admissions process with Princeton University”. Along with this he followed with, ” I’d like to thank my friends, family and coaches for helping me along the way. Very blessed and excited for the future. Go Tigers”.
The Detroit native had a record of 32-3. During his wrestling career, Heethuis won 2 division 1 individual state wrestling championship in 2021 and 2022 with the 2021 season being at the 112 pound weight class while the 2022 season being at the 119 pound weight class.
When asked what influenced his decision to commit to Princeton University, Heethuis replied, “The decision for Princeton really came down to how good their institution really is. The connections for after college and job searching at Princeton are insane. They are the perfect example of a great wrestling program with great coaches along with an outstanding school itself”. When asked what he was looking for he replied,” I’m just looking forward to getting out there and being part of the team”.
Although he is just a junior, he already has a spot secured with the Princeton tigers.
