Amar Dhesi Takes Gold At Commonwealth Games

Amar Dhesi representing Canada keeps his solid run going after winning the Pan American championships a few months back defeating Nick Gwiazdowski of the USA. Dhesi only wrestled 3 matches but was able to collect 2 technical superiority wins as well as a fall in the final.

Dhesi was an accomplished wrestler when he was on the collegiate scene competing for Oregon State University. He was a 3x Pac-12 Champion and a 3x All American which included a 3rd place finish and two 5th place finishes.

Dhesi competed in the Tokyo Olympics last year but failed to medal after being knocked off by reigning champ Taha Akgul in round 1. He will look to get on the podium at the world championships this year in Serbia as he is looking better than ever.
