Adam Coon To Participate In The Atlanta Falcons Rookie Camp

As we all know Adam Coon has been off the wrestling scene for quite some time now with his last appearance being at the last chance qualifier for the Tokyo Olympic Games where he ended up falling short to qualify the 130kg spot for the United States.

Coon was one of the countries best Greco Roman wrestlers as he made the finals of the Rio Olympic Trials and was able to win a world silver medal at the 2018 world championships. He also has a Pan-American championship title and a silver medal to his name. His hit list is extensive including Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder and 3x World Champion Geno Petriashvili who he pinned. During his time in college Coon was a 3x All American and a 2x national finalist for the University of Michigan.

He had always said that besides wrestling one of his goals was to play in the NFL and he got that chance last year when he was signed to the Tennessee Titans practice squad but was waived due to a reported injury.

Coon looks to keep his NFL dreams alive by heading to the Atlanta Falcons rookie camp while his stellar wrestling career looks like it will most likely be over. The favorite to make the United States world team at 130kg remains Cohlton Schultz who made the team in 2021 for the world championships in Oslo as well.

This might be a long shot for him as the last time he has played football competitively was in high school during the 2012 season. Only time will tell how far he can go in this endeavor.
