Brayden Sonnentag recently announced he will be committing to the University of Wyoming. Sonnentag wrote, “I am very excited and humbled to announce my commitment to the University of Wyoming to continue my academic and athletic career. There are endless people to thank, for not only my success on the mat, but off as well. I am especially grateful for my parents, and my 2 little sisters (who have been real troopers)! All of my experiences have shaped me to be the person and wrestler I am today. The journey has just begun, big things to come! Go Cowboys!”.

Sonnentag ended his 2021-22 season with a 45-1 record in which he became a three-time state champion. Some of his most notable accomplishments consist of placing 7th at the Greco Fargo AA tournament, placing 6th at the NHSCA tournament, and becoming a three-time state champion. Sonnentag capped his career with a 104-2 record.

When asked what was the deciding factor to commit to the University of Wyoming, Sonnentag replied, “The thing that made me most sure about the University of Wyoming was the town and the coaching staff. The University unlike others feels the most like home to me! The coaches told me how things were without sugar coating things and were genuinely good people with great intentions. I’m looking forward to training out there this summer and being able to become the best wrestler and person I can with the help of the team and coaches”.

Brayden Sonnentag will now be making his way to the University of Wyoming.
