Jameson Garcia has recently announced he will be continuing his wrestling career and education at the University of Harvard. Garcia wrote, “I am proud to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Harvard University. I am blessed to be able to achieve both my academic and athletic goals at the highest level. I want to thank my family, friends, coaches, and most importantly, God, who have been there for me through every step of my journey”.

During his 2021-22 season, Garcia had a 35-4 record along with becoming a 2022 IHSA state champion at the 113 pound weight class. The previous season, Garcia was also an IHSA state champion at the 106 pound weight class.

When asked what he was looking forward to and what was the deciding factor in committing to Harvard University, Garcia replied, “It really came down to how I felt on the campus. I knew it was home. As soon as I left, I decided it was the place that was best for me. I am looking forward to wrestling with old high school teammates, getting the best education possible, as well as becoming the best version possible”.

Jameson Garcia is now committed to the University of Harvard and all that is left to do is seal the deal and sign to Harvard University.
