Jake Gilfoil Commits To Army West Point

Jake Gilfoil will be committing to Army West Point in which he will serve the U.S Army and will continue to wrestle for West Point.

Gilfoil is currently a junior at Bishop McDevitt high school and will be graduating as class of 2023. So far in his high school career, Gilfoil managed to have a record of 66 wins and 27 losses giving him a winning percentage of around 71%. During his 2019-20 season Gilfoil went 12-10 as a freshman in high school. As he progressed as a wrestler, his junior year Gilfoil ended with a 33-9 record.

Some of Gilfoil accomplishments consist of placing fourth at the district tournament along with fifth place at regionals. As a junior in the 2021-22 season, Gilfoil placed second at the district tournament as well as placing third at regionals. Although Gilfoil qualified to wrestle at the state tournament, Gilfoil did not place.

Jake Gilfoil will now be serving the U.S army starting in 2023 as he will continue his wrestling career at West Point.
