Colby McBride has recently announced he will be continuing his wrestling and academic career at Appalachian State University. He stated via Instagram, “I can not thank everyone enough who helped me through life and wrestling, but I thank you. I will continue my academic and athletic career at Appalachian state. Thank you to the coaches who believed in me and gave me this opportunity. LETS GET ACTIVE 🟡⚫️”.
The Woodland academy wrestler was part of a team of winners with the team placing second in the state tournament. The team had eight state placers, five state finalist, and three state champions with McBride being one of them. This wasn’t his first rodeo since he had previously won a state title in the 113 pound weight class. McBride will wrestle for APP state at the 125 pound weight class as seen through his Instagram post.
