The Nebraska native, Kael Lauridsen will be staying in his home field as he announced his commitment to the University of Nebraska.
The two time Nebraska state champion in 2019 and 2020 announced his commitment via Instagram stating, “Home grown🌽🔴⚪”. Along with announcing him staying within the state of Nebraska he also thanked the people in his corner writing, “First, I want to thank my Family, Coaches, and Friends for getting me to this point in my career. Let me tell you it is just the beginning. Second, I want to thank all the Coaches that have taken the time to recruit me. I have built some great relationships throughout this process and it was awesome”. He finally ended with, “With that being said I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at the University of Nebraska. Go Skers!!”.
The future Huskers wrestler had an amazing run during his high school career with him being the 2019 and 2020 Nebraska state champion. During his 2018 season he placed first at both the 2018 USAW kids freestyle and Greco national tournament. He has also won gold at the Cadet Pan American championships in the Greco tournament. He is also ranked number 2 in the 113 pound weight class.
Lauridsen is currently a junior in high school, he has already committed to a university and already has a spot secured with the huskers wrestling team. The University of Nebraska has only had two commitments this year with Lauridsen being one of them.
Lauridsen still has his senior season ahead of him and has already secured his future with the University of Nebraska.
