Spencer Lee To Take On Pat Glory Friday

Our first big #1 vs #2 matchup of the season. Spencer Lee 3x National Champion will be taking on Patrick Glory who is ranked #2 for Princeton at the moment.

Glory is a consensus number 2 at this point since he has the latest win over Vito Arujau of Princeton in the EIWA finals last time 10-8. Lee will be a big favorite since he teched Glory in the second period the first time they wrestled and he beat Glory again by decision at the Midlands tournament in 2020.

There is not much to talk about with this matchup being that Spencer Lee along with Gable Steveson have been the two most dominant wrestlers in the country and have not really had competitive matches. This will be the first “real” match that Spencer lee has wrestled since the 2020 season against a solid opponent. Glory and Arujau were not able to compete during the 2021 wrestling season due to Ivy League shutting down athletics cutting out a good amount of quality wrestlers that could have made a good run at the national tournament.
