2021 National Champion AJ Ferrari has officially taken his visit to the University of Iowa as he posted on his Instagram earlier today.
There was a lot of speculation as to where AJ would end up after getting dismissed from the Oklahoma State team back in 2022. With his brother Anthony currently wrestling for the Hawkeyes and the youngest brother Angelo being committed to the Hawks it all came down to whether or not AJ would join them in Iowa.
Nothing confirmed yet of course but should this go through AJ will most likely remain at the 197 pound weight class and take over Zach Glazier who is ranked in the mid 20’s spot.
With the way 197 pounds has been looking this could create a very interesting dynamic. With Aaron Brooks being the unanimous number one right now with Hidlay, Buchanan, and Elam not far away where does AJ Ferrari stand in this mix and can he grab another NCAA title should he come back this year?
