Emma Donovan was the first female wrestler at Forest Hills Highschool and is now the first female wrestler to commit to Grand Valley State University.

Her commitment was announced via an Instagram post in which she mentioned the achievement of her commitment.

According to Emma, the decision was fairly simple for her to make since she felt right at home and her sister is also currently attending GVSU. She also knew the impact her decision to commit to GVSU would have as she’s the first female wrestler to commit to GVSU.

Some of Emma’s accolades consist of having a 68-19 high school record, being the first ever female wrestler at Forest Eastern Hills High School, first FHE all state wrestler in 10 years, becoming team captain, making the junior national team, and having the longest winning streak of her team.

As Emma continues her wrestling career she’s planning on growing the Laker women’s wrestling program along with setting new records at GVSU.
