The news is official Coleman Scott has been named as the Assistant Head Coach at Oklahoma State University. Last week Scott stepped down from his head coaching position at the University of North Carolina and the rumors were flying around with nothing confirmed at that point.

A lot of speculation that he would end up at Oklahoma State and most likely be the successor to John Smith, who was his former coach when he won a national title for OK State as well as a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympic games.

The Oklahoma State wrestling team is looking to have a strong team entering the 2023-24 NCAA wrestling season led by 4x All-American and 3x NCAA Finalist Daton Fix. Some of the other wrestlers on the team to look forward to are Sammy Alvarez who transferred in from Rutgers and Izzak Olejnik who was an All-American last season for NIU. Travis Wittlake, Dustin Plott, and Luke Surber are also wrestlers on this team who are inside the top 10 in most rankings.

After bringing in Coleman Scott and all that has gone on with the Oklahoma State program they are currently sitting on the edge of the top ten in most preseason polls as they will try to improve upon their 14-3 dual meet record from last season.
