Valeria Koblova is a 2x world and Olympic silver medalist for Russia, she is also a U23 European champion winning a gold medal in 2015.
In both of her silver medal runs, Koblova would end up running into eventual 4x Olympic gold medalist Kaori Icho of Japan.
Koblova competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games at 57kg where she would fall to Bulgaria’s Evelina Nikolova in the bronze medal match to take 5th place.
