Zavur Uguev is a freestyle wrestling Olympic Champion competing for Russia. Uguev competes in the 57kg division in men’s freestyle wrestling where he has won gold medals at the world championships in 2018 ad 2019.
He won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games where he defeated American Thomas Gilman, as well as Indian Ravi Kumar.
Uguev has very strong results in the age level tournaments as he won gold at the cadet world championships in 2011 and 2012.
