Rulon Gardner is a Greco-Roman wrestling Olympic champion for the United States. Gardner won gold at the 2000 Olympics in the 130kg division where he pulled of one of the greatest upsets of all time defeating Aleksandr Karelin.
Gardner would go on to win a few more medals after this feat including, gold at the 2001 world championships, silver at the 2003 Pan-Am championships, and finally bronze at the 2004 Olympic games.
Recently he announced that he would be coming out of retirement seeking to make the team for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris.
