Sam Latona (Virginia Tech)
Latona came up big for Virginia Tech in their dual meet against Cornell as he knocked off #3 ranked Vito Arujau. They already wrestled earlier in the season where Arujau defeated Latona on his path to a CKLV title.
Kyle Parco (Arizona State)
Parco pulled a solid upset for Arizona State as he was able to defeat #3 Paniro Johnson of Iowa State in sudden victory.
Jordan Titus (West Virginia)
Titus is by far the most surprising on this list as he knocked off #2 ranked Cole Matthews and was able to lead West Virginia to a win over Pitt.
Zac Braunagel (Illinois)
Massive week for Braunagel as he is looking to prove himself as a threat to win this weight class. He defeated Both national finalist Jacob Warner as well as world team member Braxton Amos.
Vince Cornella (Cornell)
Cornella was dominant this week after wins against Arizona State’s Jesse Vasquez and a major over Tom Crook.
Trevor Chumbley (Northwestern)
Chumbley has been an extremely dominant wrestler in the 157 pound division essentially replacing national champion Ryan Deakin. He was able to grab a win over the former #1 ranked Brayton Lee of Minnesota.
Aaron Olmos (Oregon State)
Olmos is 7-5 on the season but the record doesn’t do him justice facing some of the best wrestlers in the country. He was able to knock off #4 Dustin Plott of Ok State in the dual meet.
Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell)
Yianni looking unstoppable with dominant wins against Arizona State’s Kyle Paroc as well as Virginia Tech’s Caleb Henson.
