Doug Schwab Reaches 100 Dual Meet Wins Milestone


Northern Iowa just beat the Wyoming Cowboys tonight 33-3. With this win head coach Doug Schwab has hit 100 dual meet victories.

During his 13 seasons as the head coach of Northern Iowa Schwab has coached 13 All American wrestlers to 18 All American finishes.

Before his coaching career at Northern Iowa, Schwab was an assistant coach at Iowa, and Virginia Tech.

In his career as a wrestler he was able to secure a 5th place finish at the 2007 World Championships in Azerbaijan, and represented the United States at the Beijing Olympics where he would end up placing 14th at 66kgs.

The teams outlook for the season is better than ever with the win over Wyoming tonight and their massive upset over #3 Ohio State at the Collegiate Duals.

Lead by 2x All American Parker Keckeisen along with top ranked wrestlers Kyle Biscoglia, Cael Happel, Collin Realbuto, and Austin Yant the team will be looking to do some big things this season.
