Cal Baptist wrestler Mitchell Mesenbrink has stated that he will be entering the transfer portal on March 9th via wiwrestle
Mesenbrink talked about how he did not feel that Cal Baptist was the right fit for him and hat he wants to keep his options open.
He also plans to compete a lot in freestyle as well as seeking overseas competition. He will be training out of the Askren Wrestling Academy as well as other various RTC’s.
During his time at Cal Baptist, Mesenbrink only wrestled 2 matches in which he won both by fall against Cal Poly and Vanguard (NAIA).
Coming into college Mesenbrink was a top 10 recruit but just has not wrestled enough on the collegiate scene yet. Most recently he won a silver medal at the U20 world championships in Bulgaria.
