The Bout At The Ballpark returns to Arlington, Texas for the second consecutive year, however things will look a bit different this go-around.
Rokfin just announced they have secured rights to exclusively stream the Bout At The Ballpark, which will go down February 3, 2023 at Globe Life Field. At last year’s event, it was FloWrestling who streamed the event between Oklahoma State and Iowa, where Iowa was victorious 23-9.
The historic Oklahoma State program will return to the Battle At The Ballpark once again, but this season they will square off against the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan is returning off a second place finish at the 2022 NCAA Championships, and winning their first Big Ten Championship title since 1973.
Both teams are currently ranked top-15 in the country, and have some of the most historic programs throughout the sport. Not only do both teams feature some of the best wrestlers in the nation, both squads are led by outstanding coaches.
6x World Champion and 2x NCAA Champion John Smith leads the Oklahoma State Cowboys back to Globe Life Field, where they will have a big test with the Michigan Wolverines, who are led by Sean Bormet, last year’s NWCA National Coach of the Year.
There are a few potential matchups at this year’s Battle At The Ballpark that should be super entertaining, the highlighted match being between Oklahoma State’s #2 Daton Fix and Michigan’s #6 Dylan Ragusin. A matchup at 157-pounds will be worth watching as well, as Michigan’s returning NCAA AA #4 Will Lewan should square off against the Cowboy’s #9 Kaden Gfeller.
Although we are still less than two months away for this anticipated historical matchup, another great event will occur in one of Texas’ most newly renovated stadiums. Make sure to stream this event live on Rokfin, February 3rd, 2023.
