Minnesota vs South Dakota State Wrestling Dual Meet Preview

Minnesota will be taking on South Dakota State November 27th at 2pm EST. The dual will be streamed live on Flowrestling.

Projected Matches:

125- Patrick McKee vs Tanner Jordan

McKee coming off of a pin over Iowa State’s Kysen Terukina at the All Star Classic should have another pretty easy win here.

133- Aaron Nagao vs Gabriel Tagg

This is an interesting matchup here and could go down as a swing match.

141- Jake Bergeland vs Clay Carlson

This is the match of the dual here and should be an interesting one being that Carlson just lost at the Daktronics Open. However with that all being said in their collegiate careers Carlson holds a 3-0 record against Bergeland.

149- Michael Blockhus vs Daniel Kimball

157- Brayton Lee vs Cael Swenson

Brayton Lee looked solid in his first match this year coming back from a season ending injury last season. Should look to put up another bonus point win here.

165- Andrew Sparks vs Tanner Crook

Last time these two wrestled Crook won by fall, however this time around it looks like the scoreline will be closer.

174- Bailee O’Reilly vs Cade DeVos

Looking at their past matches DeVos definitely has the upper hand here with a 9-2 win over O’Reilly in March.

184- Isaiah Salazar vs Cade King

197- Garrett Joles vs Tanner Sloan

285- Keaton Kluever vs AJ Nevills

Projected Winner: South Dakota State

Overall Thoughts:

If all goes as it should on paper South Dakota State should win a close one over the Gophers. However a lot of the swing matches here tend to favor Minnesota as do the matches where Minnesota is looking for bonus points.
