Amit Elor put on a incredible performance at the junior world championships going 4-0 and out scoring her opponents a combined 41-1 in the process.
Elor made her first senior world team this year at 18 years old knocking off Skylar Grote at Final X so this was more of just a tune up tournament for her. We will get to see here in action in a few weeks at the senior world championships where she will look to capture a world medal on the big stage.
Elor defeated Sghaier of Tunisia by fall up 9-0 in just 1:35. She won by technical superiority over Virag of Hungary score 10-0 in 1:45, defeated Reetika of India by technical superiority score 12-1 and finally taking out Panassovich of Kazakhstan by technical superiority in the gold medal match 10-0 in 2:07.
In a weight class with teenagers looking for a spot at 72kg with Kylie Welker, Kennedy Blades, and now Amit Elor who becomes the future here? In theory with Tamyra Mensah-Stock and Adeline Gray reaching the end of their careers soon these three will spread out and form somewhat of a murderers row themselves for USA women’s wrestling.
The future is bright for Amit Elor and you should definitely keep an eye out for her at the senior world championships in Belgrade.
