Where to watch: 7pm Big Ten+
Full Projected Lineup Preview:
125- #9 Drake Ayala vs #11 Michael DeAugustino
One of the biggest matches to look out for by far with both of these guys being hot at the moment. Ayala is coming off of a 6-1 win over Devin Schroder of Purdue who was recently ranked as high as number 5. DeAugustino even with his #11 ranking knocked off All American Patrick McKee along with Eric Barnett back to back and will be looking to take out the young Hawkeye to improve his record and possibly break the top 10.
133- #3 Austin Desanto vs #10 Chris Cannon
141- #2 Jaydin Eierman vs Frankie Tal-Shahar
149- #15 Max Murin vs #6 Yayha Thomas
157- #12 Kaleb Young vs #2 Ryan Deakin
Deakin is by far the most talented wrestler on this Northwestern squad and this will be a rematch of the Big Ten finals where Ryan Deakin somewhat handled the match by score of 6-0. Young has looked a little rough but this will be a good match for him to see where he is at this point in the season.
165- #4 Alex Marinelli vs #22 David Ferrante
174- #2 Michael Kemerer vs Troy Fisher
184- #18 Abe Assad vs Jack Jessen
197- #7 Jacob Warner vs Andrew Davison
285- #5 Tony Cassioppi vs #9 Lucas Davison
This will be a big matchups for both of these guys and a rematch of the U23 world team trials finals. They have beaten each other and are both coming off recent losses to Olympic Champion Gable Steveson so this should help them get back on track. Both of them wrestled Steveson to similar score differentials so this theoretically should be a decent match with Cassioppi falling 17-7 and Davison falling 13-4.
Dual Meet Score Projection: 25-11 Iowa
