Nick Suriano Makes Season Debut As Michigan Downs Pitt

This dual meet had a few crazy matches in it but first off Suriano made his season debut coming out on top of Gage Curry 18-7. Suriano will most likely have the number one ranking when the new rankings come out unless they decide to put Vito Arujau or Pat Glory ahead of him.

At 141 was another big one where Cole Matthews of Pitt was able to knock off Olympian Stevan Micic in dominant fashion 11-5. Looking at Micic’s performance in his matches this season most will say it was not impressive, but the season is young and only time will tell if this loss means something.

At 197 we had another big bout with National Finalist Nino Bonaccorsi and All American Pat Brucki. Brucki was able to get it done 6-3 and take out the national finalist.

We got to see the first of Mason Parris tonight in a dual meet setting and he did not disappoint. He was able to get the 12-4 major decision over Jake Slinger who has looked great this season as well.
