Spencer Lee Out For The Season

Breaking news is out ( via @mrpatmineo on twitter) stated that 3x NCAA Champion Spencer Lee has decided to undergo surgery this Friday. He will be done for the season and will be planning on using a medical redshirt to come back next year in an attempt to get his 4th NCAA title.

Overall this seems like the best option for Lee and will most likely give him the best chance to get back to his old form and also let him recover from the beating his body has taken for the past few years.

This has a few team race implications and now they are big. Penn State bringing in Drew Hildebrandt and Iowa losing Spencer Lee is a big swing automatically and it will be an interesting season being that Michigan has Nick Suriano now as well.

Update: This decision was made by Spencer Lee and not the Brands brothers. Essentially saying that he has went through so much for the team but this time he needed to put himself first being how much his body has went through.

There is not much to be known about this at the moment and this is all we really have. We wish Spencer Lee the best and more news will be added as information comes out.
