Raney Twins Commit to Oklahoma State, Bolstering Cowboys’ 2026 Recruiting Class

Union County’s Jordyn and Jayden Raney—two of the nation’s premier high school wrestlers—have officially committed to Oklahoma State University, further elevating an already dominant 2026 recruiting class.

Oklahoma State landed a massive addition to its wrestling future with the commitment of twin brothers Jordyn and Jayden Raney, ranked No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, in the Class of 2026 by FloWrestling. The Kentucky standouts made their announcement live on FloWrestling Radio Live, sporting OSU gear to confirm their decision.

Why It Matters

The Raney twins are not only elite domestic recruits—they also bring international championship experience. Both brothers are U17 Greco-Roman World Champions. Jayden recently earned a spot on the 2025 Senior Greco-Roman World Team, while Jordyn has medaled at the U17 World Championships and represented Team USA in both freestyle and Greco-Roman disciplines.

In high school competition, the duo has combined for nine Kentucky state titles, and in their most recent state tournament appearance, each pinned all five of their opponents.

Massive Boost to an Already Loaded Class

With their commitment, Oklahoma State’s 2026 class now includes four of the top six recruits nationally:

They join #36 Kellen Wolbert (141/149) and #100 Rocklin Zinkin (125) to round out what is widely considered the top recruiting class in the nation.

This follows a stellar 2025 haul for the Cowboys, which included top-10 recruits LaDarion Lockett (#3), Landon Robideau (#5), and Sergio Vega (#7).

Depth and Development

The addition of the Raneys adds elite depth, particularly in the 133–149 lb range. With Forrest, Vega, Wolbert, and the twins all projected in this weight corridor, intense internal competition is expected. For Head Coach John Smith and staff, this surplus of talent represents both a challenge and a luxury as they manage one of the most stacked lineups in recent memory.

What’s Next

The Raney twins’ commitment further solidifies Oklahoma State’s return to national title contention. Their arrival not only enhances the lineup but brings proven success at the international level to the Cowboys’ Regional Training Center (RTC)—which already includes Forrest, Ross, and Lockett.

Oklahoma State has long been a powerhouse in college wrestling, and with back-to-back historic recruiting classes, the future in Stillwater looks brighter than ever.
