U20 Mens Freestyle World Team Trials Finals Set

The finals matches for the U20 men’s freestyle world team trials are set and will be going down tomorrow morning at 9:30 est.

57kg- Jax Forrest vs Luke Lilledahl

Lilledahl has been sitting in the finals. Forrest dominated his first match against Davis Motyka 12-1 in the quarters, won a close 9-8 decision over Nathan Desmond in the semis and won by injury default over Anthony Knox in the challenge tournament finals.

61kg- Marcus Blaze vs Ben Davino

Cael Hughes was sitting in the finals originally but missed weight. The challenge finals would have been Blaze vs Davino so that will be wrestled as the best of 3 finals instead.

Blaze picked up a massive semifinal win over Nasir Bailey 6-3 to make the finals and Davino had some nice wins as well defeating Gable Porter 10-0, shutting out Cory Land 8-0 and defeating Sergio Vega 7-1.

65kg- Bo Bassett vs Aden Valencia

These two met in the finals of the US Open where Bassett came out on top. Valencia defeated Sergio Lemley and Koy Buesgens on his way to the best of three finals.

70kg- PJ Duke vs Kannon Webster

Duke is sitting in the finals after a dominant run at the US Open. Webster is into the finals with some big wins over Grigor Chalokyan, Brock Mantanona, and Antrell Taylor.

74kg- Ladarion Lockett vs Beau Mananona

Lockett is sitting in the finals. Mantanona defeated Joe Sealey, Cameron Steed, and Charlie Millard to get to the finals.

79kg- Zack Ryder vs Gabe Arnold

Should be a fun one here, Arnold is definitely the favorite heading in. Arnold pulled some nice wins on his way to the finals including MJ Gaitan.

86kg- Aeoden Sinclair vs Josh Barr

The last time these two met was in the US Open finals where it was all Sinclair from start to finish, hard to see anything different happening this time around. Barr did have a nice win against Max McEnelly in the challenge tournament finals.

92kg- Connor Mirasola vs Ryder Rogotzke

Should be a fun one here, Mirasola sitting in the finals and Rogotzke teched both of his opponents in the challenge tournament to make it to the best of three finals.

97kg- Camden McDanel vs Justin Rademacher

Should be another fun one here, McDanel sitting in the finals and Rademacher won a tight 2-2 criteria bout over Cody Merrill in the finals of the challenge tournament.

125kg- Jimmy Mullen vs Ben Kueter

Mullen is sitting in the finals after a big comeback pin over Nick Sahakian at the US Open. Kueter was dominant in the challenge bracket with his only close match coming to Aden Attao in the semis 8-7, he dominated Sahakian in the finals 11-2 don’t really know what to expect here.
