He’s back… Olympic gold medalist and 2x NCAA champion, Gable Steveson, just announced that he will be competing in the 2023 US Open in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Steveson has been absent from the sport since winning the national championships in 2022. He’s been hinting at a return for a little while now, and will put his WWE run on the side as he’s been getting ready to get back into international competition.
The 2x Hodge Trophy winner will be in the mix of a bracket with guys like Mason Parris, Nick Gwiazdowski, and Hayden Zilmer, but will definitely be a huge favorite later this month.
This will also be the first time Steveson has wrestled freestyle since winning the Olympics in 2021.
